Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Vientiane

Upon arrival at Vientiane - An ancient city, situated on the bend on the left bank of the Mekong River as the largest city and the capital of Laos. Meet by our representative and transfer to hotel for check-in. After lunch, proceed sightseeing tour to visit religious museums of Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have been survived from the Siamese war of 1828 and its cloister contains more than 8000 Buddha statues; Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statue or Pra Keo, but today it contains a collection of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found in around Vientiane; Luang Stupa, the most important monument in Laos, which was built to cover the original small stupa, containing a piece of the chest bone of Buddha; Patouxay (Arch de Triumph), built quite recently in commemoration of those who died during the wars in the past and it is today as the land mark of Vientiane. Dinner at local restaurant and transfer back to hotel. lunch dinner

Day 2

Vientiane - Nam Gnum Lake - Vangvieng

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Nam Ngum Lake, with hundreds of small islands. En-route, visit to Lao typical villages to see rural life, including a cottage-salt factory at Ban Bor village. Arrive Nam Ngum Lake by noon. After lunch, take a boat ride for 1 hr for relaxing and panoramic view around small islands. Continue to drive about 2 hrs into the central highlands to Vangvieng and catch the sunset over the mountains. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel at Vangvieng. breakfast lunch dinner

Day 3

LuangPrabang - Kuangsi Waterfall

After breakfast in hotel, start the tour visit to National Museum, the former Royal Palace which houses the collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue, gifts received from foreign dignitaries…etc. Just before proceed to the long travel distance (30 km South, around 50Mins driving distance) to visit Kuangsi Waterfall, which, though not very high, spectacular and beautiful with its green surroundings as the preserved National park. En-route visit to a fresh produced market namely Talad Phosy, and Ban Na Oune, a small village of a hill-tribe group โ€œHmongโ€, probably the best-known minority group in Laos. After that, another visit to the village of Khmu minority group, namely Ban Tha Pane. Picnic lunch served at the shady park nearby Kuangsi waterfall. There is plenty of time for relaxing and a swim in cool water, before head back to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. The rest of the day will be spent at various craft-shops, including silver smithsโ€™ and also Hmong market in town, where some skilled embroidery-works of Hmong ladies can be seen. breakfast lunch dinner

Day 4

LuangPrabang - Departure

Enjoy your breakfast. Check out hotel. Proceed to the city tour to visit weaving village at Ban Phanom & smith village Ban Hathiane. After tour, lunch at local restaurant and then transfer to airport for departure flight. breakfast lunch
